2 Osprey:

The JG 26 "Schlageter"'s campaign starts in mid June 1940.

The 303.'s campaign starts at the end of August 1940.

Is this okey? ;)

For sure its OK! The first kill was in 30th of August before 303 recived offical combat readiness (Ludwik Paszkiewicz - Bf-110).
Squadron was formed 2th August 1940, Northolt.

BTW.
I have a problem with NEXT button. Not always its active. Looks like a bug. I rememeber with WvsD (firs version) was too same. Patch solved this problem (if You use other languge than English on Steam).

Finally downloaded Fighter Ace, fifth time lucky, although I had to turn down my firewall and real time scanning, which I haven't had to do for any download ever. That said I want to thank Desastersoft for their help and prompt responses.

YoYo, I know it is. Osprey has some problem with this ;)

Having you here YoYo - BTW.

What is the reason one must switch the autopilot on while takin' off (as the manual states)? Does this have anything to do with commmunication with the rest of the flight? Any idea?

As I remember it can be two things:

1/ in betas was a problem with engine on the ground (from the beginning was to hot so You can overheat engine without start), dont know now its a fixed, perhaps yes (near 2 months dont fly in Cod), turn on autopilot solved this problem
2/ AI problem - start in formation (auto solve this problem)

but Im on Your side, no autopilot ; > and any facilitations .

As I understand it the engine has problems "recognizing" a player-flown airraft if the autopilot is not used at the beginning. It's some kind of initialization bug which can cause all kinds of problems with scripts and triggers. These may fail to load/fire properly if the engine hasn't recognized the player-flown aircraft.

lol, yeah, I want my money's worth and I'm not happy about missing 6 weeks of action! They should've used No.501, they could've started it from France in May and gone the whole way through to October on the front line

You can't knock Ginger Lacey I'm afraid
