I haven't had a chance to fly with these yet to see if I have any image quality changes, but running TheBlackDeath with max in game settings plus those listed below, there was an ever so slight increase:

Images (will be up in a sec, bear with me):

I confirm this - spotted it also on desert map with bad weather. Coast lines can be seen from very long distance. Below an example:

Intel Core2 6600, Win XP SP2, Directx 9c, GeForce 8800GTS, Forceware 169.21

Beautiful 1946

What ever you guys do, I hope you do not destroy the colorization and game play of 1946. As it is now, the sim is drop dead beautiful. No Banding, deep rich colors, and smooth.

I noticed banding in a Pacific Map, and the colors did not look correct. Be very careful.

Is it possible to have effect on water like it was on DLL’s from 9. February? With nice changes in water colorization and with feeling of water depth? This flat, uniform color water with these last DLL’s are ridiculous and real step backwards

Please test new DLL set 130308!

* Fixed numerous visual artifacts.

* il2setup.ini changed (save old version before update)
Now it supports new video cards.
And turns on Anisotropic filtration for powerful cards.

* Improved rendering of buildings and other static
objects at far distance by reducing LOD switching
in LandGeom=3 mode (see conf.ini).

I keep getting an error message on attempting to unpack this rar file.
Is there only one file in it ?

Feuerfalke 03-14-2008 09:23 AM

No problems with unpacking the files. There should be 2 dlls and 1 ini file in there. Maybe you should try to download the file again?

IvanK 03-14-2008 09:26 AM

Same thing every time I try to download it.
