Download the zip file to a temporary folder, then copy and paste all files into 'Single' missions, which are found in the following file structure (Win7) libraries, documents, 1c Softclub, il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover, missions, single. Place the skins into the 'Bf-109E-3 folder, located in the 'skins' folder (using the same file structure as above).

FMB workings

And he haven't cracked anything relating how FMB works, he just posted some instructions (not full description of it anyway) regarding how a campaign must be made.

Things I've personally already knew, it's enough to have a look at the way MG's IL2 CoD original campaigns are made (and that's how he learned what he posted in there too). That's how I've transformed your missions into a proper IL2 CoD campaign (I just did a fast and dirty work of it, haven't tried to do it in the proper way, as I don't have time for that. A proper implementation of a campaign will need modifications of the mission files, adding screenshots and intermediate descriptions for all missions, and also scripting).

I don't understand what do you mean by what do I think.. If you ask me if I know how to make missions, or a proper campaign, or make C# scripting.. the answer is yes, I do. I am working in real-life as a lead designer/senior producer/project-manager in a game developing company, and I know programming too (I've finished an IT university).

I haven't had a good chance to look at this Russian post carefully, I've been busy with my own business comittments. What I meant by 'what do you think?' is what do think about the Russian post and you have answered this question above.

I certainly haven't got your qualifications, I am a retired Airlne marketing person. My eldest son is a computer programmer and I occasionally ask him some technical questions.

Adonys, it will be handy now to ask you about anything in the game developing environment and mission building. You must be very frustrated about how 'unfinished' COD is, although I have strong faith in Ilya's team to gradually 'iron out' the problems.

Encountering the enemy

I've replayed missions 1 & 2, and haven't encountered anything so far (maybe I'm flying too high, I'm a bit paranoid of not being high enough anytime I'm under 4k.) I've followed the waypoints, but have yet to run into spits or hurri's.

Cheesehawk, mission 1 is just a 'positioning flight' with no enemy aircraft - lets you get familiar with your 'Emil'. You do have to watch out for other friendly aircraft?

In mission 2, you are picked up by British radar and two Spitfires from Manston are sent up to intercept you. My suggestion is to put your 'Emil', after take-off on 'A' (autopilot) until you see them, they will certainly see you, then 'disengage the autopilot' and good luck?

I know the 'autopilot' situation is not realistic, though, until we are up and running with the full FMB, I don't think we have much choice.

Let me know how you go?

Dflion, have a look in here at my survey of the scripting capabilities of the FMB from MG's original IL2 CoD campaigns.

Thanks for this info. adonys, it is very interesting. I think Luthier (Ilya) said in the initial release, the FMB would need some 'programming skills' and looking at your post, he is certainly right - there are a lot of mission variables. I will do some more study.

planespotter, give the campaign a go. As we have been discussing in this thread, the full FMB is not working properly yet. Once you get into a combat situation in the campaign - good luck? My suggestion is to fly on 'A' (autopilot) until you contact the enemy.

Hi
A few russian made campaigns on sukhoi.ru use scripting in c#.
They can count kills, give a score , through the whole campaign. On events you also get special messages etc...
I will put translated -google- versions online, hopefully today.
