Cherokee....I got GoGamers customer support telephone number I left a message a few minutes ago and will try them during working hours tomorrow. Here is the number: 888-948-9661 Got his number off of Amazon.

It would be great if this works out. I was shocked at the uniformly terrible ratings for GoGamer on Resellerratings. The low ratings were mostly for just this sort of problem. Wish I'd checked before ordering but I guess the good price made me reckless.

I'm not here to defend GoGamer, but to present a more balanced picture. The ratings I saw on Amazon are 99% satisfaction for the last 3 mths, and 97% for earlier periods.

My order is supposed to arrive between 5/20 and 5/25.

The most important thing is for your game to work when you get it...... and I sincerely do hope it does. At least one other person has a working game from them and maybe yours will too. My comment was probably a result of disappointment at not having a working game more than anything else. What amazed me was that my copy got here so quickly. Three days from California to Kansas is fast!! It actually arrived on the day Amazon forecast it to ship.:-)

Do let us know how things turn out with your copy of the game.

Mine was shipped on the 16th and it is scheduled to arrive on the 24th.
Either way if it doesn't work I guess it won't matter except it gives me a day
to start writing to Amazon.

In the past, GoGamers has been a pretty reliable source for games. I've bought
from them before and many at Joint-Ops where I teach have used them and
never heard a complaint. May be a sign of the times where desperate people
do desperate things. Hope not. Would rather see it as a big mistake.

Anyway, I will keep watching here to see how everyone else does and will
report how mine goes when it arrives. Good luck all.

Kansas? I grew up in Kansas City and worked for both Cessna and Boeing in Wichita. Now in Houston.

I've never had an issue with GoGamer, but I haven't ordered anything since Jason was there. I trust they are the same quality providers as they were when he was there. For the moment (though I'm disappointed) I see this as an anomaly.

Here is exactly what I did :

Selected " allow all " for my personal firewall software to make sure there is
no connection issue during install .
I did not used Windows CD/DVD autoplay option when popping disc in to drive
but opened manually disc files ( not that much difference anyway ) , then
clicked on Steam " Setup " shortcut and that did bring a small CloD install window ,
then clicked on install CloD option and Steam started to install ( I did not have
Steam installed at all up to that point ) .
The next thing it asked me shortly after if I want to use existing account or creating
a new one and since I forgot my previous login name and password from a
long time ago I selected to create a new account .
After entering all the necessary required stuff I clicked to proceed but was
returned back to previous install progress window telling me my account
e-mail address is already registered Ooops ! I registered about 7 years ago but did
not really used Steam at all
So I just selected creating a new account option again using a different
e-mail address with user name and then got through installing Steam without
a hitch which right after it was installed asking me for the CloD key number
which I typed exactly as it is on the included piece of paper inside the box
XXXXX-XXXXX-yada yada yada.......and after two seconds it was success giving
me finally option to start installing CloD .
That's it , a little hiccup with creating a new Steam account but success .
I must have been lucky after reading recent posts , I thought I will meet the
same fate but it worked .
So far the game experience is now for me the biggest shock :x

Where did you get your game from? I spoke to the guy from GoGamer on the phone a few minutes ago. Sounded like everyone who got the game from him has the same problem I have. They are contacting the manufacturer in Australia looking for an answer. Hopefully they will supply us with new keys tomorrow. If you got your game from Gogamer it just seems odd that you are the only one that had a working key. Makes me wonder if we all had the same key and you were just the first one to install it. When did you install?

Jumo211 05-18-2011 11:22 PM

I got it already on Monday and installed yesterday

It's from Gogamer via Amazon , the very same " Manufactured in Australia " version:
