I haven´t noticed fps improvement but I have fewer stutters.

I have lots of luncher.exe has stopped working error when viewing objets in mission recorder.

Sometimes mission recorder stops working and I have to reinstall the game.

For the time being you can force it with D3Doverrider, which is a tool in rivatuner. Hope it will be implemented later.

Can't download patch

I downloaded win zip and 7 zip and neither could unzip this. I did exactly as the directions said, download patch (I saved it to a download file), unzipped and selected unzip location exactly where they said and this is what i get:

! C:\Users\Derek\Downloads\Games\Cliffs of Dover\IL2COD_14072.rar: CRC failed in parts\core\core.dll. The file is corrupt
! C:\Users\Derek\Downloads\Games\Cliffs of Dover\IL2COD_14072.rar: Unexpected end of archive

I've downloaded the patch twice now and with no change.

First of all, sorry, I am an idiot (and have never installed them beta patch thingies before )
Do I extract the
a) actual file (as in IL2COD_14072etc.rar)
b) parts
c) core and bob as folders

into the directory?

Hello SQB, I just extracted the whole contents to steam/steamapps/common/cod and it worked fine, just say yes when windows asks you to overwrite, hope this helps.

(OK, I havent really tested that, I'm just voicing my support for historical accuracy)

Better performance on Q9540 @3ghz, GTX570 and 8Gb DDR2 over land and sea.

Only one issue that I think is patch related- shadows cast by trees are now flickering.

I would ask the devs to consider (at some stage) incorporating a 'real guages' setting in difficulty options so users can select the old pnumatic guages for those planes that were equiped with them. Also if engines were cutting out or spluttering at a specific -g could we have the option to fly with those characteristics ?

I appreciate that you can't please all the people all of the time and it is case of finding a happy balance but there are a lot of people who appreciate authenticity and as it was represented in the game previously it would be a great shame to see it lost.

Good patch- thanks.

Patch is great! FPS and stuttering much better -

Errors still outstanding: (that i can remember at the moment)

- Spit Mark 1 reverts to cruise throttle setting after takeoff with CEM off

- Multiplayer interface - no way of telling what time of day it is in the server before you join - we may not want to play night missions

- Multiplayer Interface - no way of seeing who is on what team in the server so you can join to keep teams even

- Multiplayer client interface defaults to LAN selection - INTERNET would be better

- QMB still doesnt let you choose weapon layouts for your planes

- Some stuttering still present

I'll post more as i remember them - hopefully these are all easy fixes.
