1. Do you think it's fair that the player doesn't the get the kill when he has damaged a plane enough for it to be unable to fly? That player has downed another and should be counted a kill.

2. If a player destroys anothers engine and forces him to crash or crash land, that should be a kill, no doubt about it. If the other player manages to land safely then thats ok (but they would be quite a sitting duck for the guy to finish off don't you think?)

3. One player forcing another into a controlled or uncontroled flight into terrain would be considered a kill. This is rather hard to put into a game though unless a sucessfull shot has been taken by the persuer, then last player to get a hit should receive the kill.

4. Almost all kills in WWII were not huge explosions and many times the pilot was able to bail out. Why is that not the same for this game?

This is a big mistake by the developers. Ace combat 6 made exactly the same mistake, people were firing off all their missiles like crazy and then crashing on purpose to get a new load. People would get a bit damaged and then just find the nearest mountain to plow into before someone killed them and got the points. It was crazy before the patch that gave a big penalty for any crash, this caused a masive drop in crashers.

Once the whole world can buy IL2 BoP A public room Online will become a no kills ,crash fest if nothing is done to discourage crashing. And adding some programing that says last person to get a shot on the crashing plane gets the kill would also be welcome.

I didn't make the game. Just informing him of why he wasn't getting credit for the kills.

lol no, what you did was go off on one because he said that people were unfairly crashing to avoid being killed. That may well kill the public lobby side of BoP. It has happened to games before, the public online has failed and slowly the whole game online dies. He is totaly right. It needs to be fixed.

Players will not like feeling cheated out of kills thanks to crashers and will stop playing, Don't you think they have a right to be pissed off with the people who are taking advantage of a game flaw?. Trust me it will happen, you will see people kamakaziing the landscape untill all you can see is fire.

It already is.

Then last game I played was for 20 minutes. The winner had TWO kills and had crashed EIGHTEEN times.

They need to patch the online part of the game or I will not bother playing it. Who wants to play a game for 20 mins and get no kills because they all either crashed or bailed, it's just not fun.

You know it makes me wonder if the developers were given any time at all to play test the multiplayer. If I was a tester the first time I crashed I would think "oh wait I didn't lose anything from crashing hmmm in fact I now have an advantage as I am undamaged and that guy that was behind me filling me with holes is now infront oh and look he didn't get a kill. hmm i will try crashing again when I want a new plane... Wait, that could be a problem, that isn't fair play and WILL be exploited." ""Oi developer guy over here, We got a big problem""

People crashing is a pain in the ass. Also hosted a game of capture the airfield at Stalingrad, nobody could locate the airfield at all so it was essentially a team battle.

And before anyone asks, yes it was capture the airfield, the 500 tickets were visible on-screen, just no airfield

Remember, you are talking about testers who reported red-outs as a glitch.

So just a quick change to your dialogue

"oh wait I didn't lose anything from crashing hmmm in fact I now have an advantage as I am undamaged and that guy that was behind me filling me with holes is now infront oh and look he didn't get a kill. hmm i will try crashing again when I want a new plane... I did! Mega-Brill-Awesome!"

Err, sorry to say that I think I was one of the aforementioned crashing players.

I got in my first MP dogfight (sim) with you and you nailed me hard twice and I ended up crashing because my plane was almost unflyable. I wasn't aware at the time that you might not get "credit" for the kill, but I was most certainly shot down, fair and square. I think that another time we actually collided and you got the kill, but I may have just been shot head on and not heard it (I also noticed the lack of sound effects).

I put another post about this ( http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=9414 ), but I think that the MP matches handle damage differently because I've never had a hard time keeping a damaged plane level in SP. I much prefer a more realistic model if MP does indeed handle this differently.

yea it was my first impression and that was 2 games of Arcade and Realistic, with lots of players, with sim i its kinda slower, and things arent really rushed.

I also dont mind not getting kills, besides that you might need it for unlocks so thats a shame :(

I hope they can fix the kill thing a bit, and maybe the sound when you get hit, but i dont even notice it anymore lol

I really think that CoD style point system would work best in this instance. Just so everyone gets a share here and there?
