Its used and it looks used, but it works perfect, I have played PTTM with it. 10 dollars vs 100. Think about it.

Of course if you absolutely must have gearshift, go ahead and spend a lot of money, but you can buy gearshift separately.

It's not just about the gearshift - although I must admit that shifting a truck with paddles would be a bit weird. It's mainly about the degrees of rotation you get. Now, I don't know that Microsoft wheel you bought, but I'm guessing it has something like 240° of rotation. That's like a F1 car. That just doesn't feel right to drive a truck with IMO. I bet it's a good enough wheel for most racing games, but if you want to feel like you're driving a truck you definitely need a bigger range (ie. more rotation).

Well its probably not only rotation angle, but also how hard it is to turn the wheel. A truck steering wheel is hard to turn. Also a real size truck wheel would be nice.

But until I can afford something better, this microsoft wheel is good enough.

And yes I definetely want to experience the gears. I drive a regular car in real life, and its automatic. Don't even know how to drive manual. Would be fun to try.
