I think he said that the FM was really poor in the first release ;)

It was better than any thing else out there at the time.

The main point for me was everything was on one disc and no modded ac, everything was stock so everyone was on the same level.

At that time back then nearly all WW2 sims were modded to hell and the downloaded aircraft made it a mess getting compatibility correct.

IL2 was a one disc solution to secure FM DM

Currently IL-2 is in need of a secure FM/DM badly. The online community is a mess now.
