Yea Septic came and explained this. I sure thats an old bug and not server related. In my experience this happens on all servers and you really have to wait for the map and other info to load properly and then give it a min for it not to crash the windows...

From what I heard from my guys it was fairly positive. At one point I was bouncing spits from 3 groups of JU88's, each group being 9 Ju88's. The frame rate was good enough and I was able to fight. I really just went mindlessly after those spits to really hammer my own machines performance. It was workable.

I think at the peak there was 27 players... Screenshots of the CPU load etc comming soon. However he did tell me the server was only using one core. A product of using console maybe?

Hiya Farber, there's a few red team guys still flying around in there but no Blues. Have you found out what you needed to find out?

Considering the large numbers of AI it was very playable for the entire session.
I Didn't come across many Blues but there were about 4 -5 Reds attacking the AI formations - suprised at how well my system and the patch performed.

Yea sorry there was some kind of hicup between UK and the states internet because we in the UK lost connection to TS3 and the server. So sorry for leaving everyone hanging around in the server after the event! Shame only less than 30 showed up. We are still unsure if we should host for perhaps 5 or 6 squadrons aside or just 2 - 50 players a side or more like 15. One thing seems clear is that we can have lots of AI...

From memory we had
We had AI:

3 Dornier 17 @5 mins
6 He111 @10 mins
18 Ju 87 @15 mins
27 Ju88's @ 25 mins

ramping up over time... All spawning near dover (the centre of the action) around 50km - 90km away before returing to land in france except for the last 27 Ju88's.

Same here, Im a glass half empty guy so it was quite a suprise. I even went hell for leather after spits to stress the performance of my own machine. Some very slight unsmoothness but playable for dogfighting! Which is very important.

Thank you to all who participated. Please feel free to leave feed back here! Good bad or indifferent!

Would have been there if not for the CL finals conflict.

ATAG_Septic 05-19-2012 09:43 PM

Hi Chaps,

I had no problems in game at all, I flew three missions and it was all very smooth, even when attacking a large formation of JU87s and whilst getting shot down too! :)

I did get the no-flags error, which I've had before but this was different, completely unshiftable, no amount of logging in or out or waiting etc would shift it.

Altogether though it bodes well for the server! :)

Cheers chaps,

Septic.
