is it confirmed we have this partially working now ?

S!

Congrats on new card but why on earth PSEUDO?! USe Full Screen. Also put off SSAO, does VERY little for the stutter and lower FPS it causes in some cases. Also building detail to MEDIUM does not affect your visuals the slightest but again a bit more performance. Forest is good enough with Medium already. That antialiasing is as said before, use 2x. Biggest impact you get by setting Effcts to medium, even then they look good but with less effect..worth trying :) And again..grats on the card :)

so, with the current version of il2cod and the 295GTX i was having an average of 7-15fps and annoying stutters with the following settings (see the screen below), flying or doing anything in the sim was just impossible and with lower settings it was just looking ugly:

now, with the N680GTX and the same settings as above, i am having an average of 19-38 FPS! and i just couldn't believe how nearly smoothly it was running, the performance improvement was really really MAJOR here! it became nearly stutterless and, now definitely PLAYABLE/FLYABLE...

so far, i no longer need to wait for the new patch as i got my il2cod "fixed" somehow..

my other system specs are: i5 (oclocked to 4ghz), 8gb ram, win7 64bit

why do you have psuedo full screen on? it should just be full screen. psuedo is buggy.

Congrats on your new card. :) I'll have to chew you up a little for those settings on the old card tho.
This is one of the reasons so many people complain about poor performance. People with older, less powerful hardware use way too high graphics setings. Why would you use 16x antialiasing when the game can't render anything over 2x? All you get is the performance hit with no visual improvement. SSAO and "Original" texture size were also very bad for your old card.
I'm sure this new card will cut trough the game like hot knife in butter and what setings you use won't hurt performance.

Congrats and enjoy it.

19-38 fps on average?! with that card?! Please consider lowering texture quality to high, turn off in-game AA and download the MSAA injector thingie instead. This will dramatically increase your FPS I reckon.

Very true!...I'm pushing my settings too, but still very playable with fps40s over land

Not suprised at all.. Many here have pointed out that most of the issues people have with CoD can be fixxed and/or greatly improved with a simple vid card upgrade

addman 03-28-2012 04:52 PM

Ok I'll do the same, here are my settings and I get 34 FPS on average on the black death track, v-sync enabled in nvidia control panel:

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/57...C5DE4CE33D836/

My specs:
Intel Core i3 2120 3,3Ghz
4GB DDR3 RAM Kingston
64GB Samsung 470 SSD
EVGA GeForce GTX 550ti 1GB DDR5 (factory overclocked)

P.S I use the MSAA injector magizmo for my AA
