Been wondering when someone would pick up a Katana!

I think I'd better hit youtube to findout the correct usage before the ZA hits and takes down the internet! My Hanwei SH6001KPE has been gathering too much dust! ;)

Ahh balls now what series have a been watching..

For the UK lads.. the series ended a while back with the barn scene afaik..

Meh...

I hate so much Rick's family: Lori is one of the most stupid wife/mother I've ever seen and their child needs to be beaten every day since he's so naughty.

It's sad that my favourite character is gone... :-(

Anyway I agree that this kind of zombies are really "stupid" NOW... In the first episode, when they smelled the horse Rick was riding I remember that they were running very fast.

Now they kill these monsters so easily that I ask what kind of soldiers were in Atlanta. :-|

Still the Sophia/barn episode is the best one IMO.

The first part of the second series ends with the 7th episode... we are talking about the end of that entire series (13th episode).

The Sophia barn scene was the mid-season finale, the season finale was Sunday.

I was pretty disappointed with the final battle. I can't imagine who would possibly think Herschell's static fusillade with his magic shotgun of infinite ammo was even the least bit exciting.

Also, when did everyone become Delta Force/Spetznaz level snipers?

And what's up with Jimmy's death? I wonder if they simply forgot to include him in next season's scripts and didn't realize it until the actor asked when he would be receiving them! They were then forced to write up his end scene the day of filming.

Finally, would it hurt anything to add a little recoil?!?!?!?! I gave them a break when Rick shot the fat dude in the bar because it was an interior scene. But out in the open??? Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And now, for the big one.....

JUST RUN THE F$%K#$S OVER WITH THE TRUCKS!!!!! No need to be hauling a$$ and break the radiator (or more importantly, the A/C condenser). Just us one vehicle as the "bait" and line up the walkers following it down the road. Then simply cruise up slowly from behind with the RV and grind 'em up.

I'll shut-up now.

I totally agree with all of that. Looking back on it the series finale was totally underwhelming for me (that's only my opinion though, the missus loved it except for the character introduction issue I mentioned earlier)

The only thing I'd disagree with though is about running them over. You'd have to hit them with enough speed to cause serious trauma to their heads. I'm not even sure those old pieces of junk could get up to that kind of speed :P But even if they could, you wouldn't be and to kill many zombies before you totalled the car and smashed the windscreen turning you into a sort of zombie-buffet :D

EDIT: About Jimmy though, how did they even get in the RV? Did he leave the door open, did they open it, or did they come in through the windows or something? It all happened very fast so I didn't really get what had happened fully.

You don't kill 'em with the impact. You just knock 'em over with the impact and then grind 'em up with the tires. Keep up just a little bit of momentum and don't try and take too many on at a time and you keep the risk of getting stuck to a minimum.

The zombies opened the side door and, for some ridiculous reason, Jimmy had gotten out of the driver's seat and was standing by the door. I guess you could say that he was preparing for Rick and Carl to enter that way and that the zombies simply lucked out and pulled the handle the right way, BUT, the obvious choice is to simply drive away with them safely on the roof!!!!

That's what I'd assumed he'd do, especially as we've seen in earlier episodes (one of the early ones this series when Andrea was stuck in the RV on her own and Dale dropped a screwdriver or something in to her) that there's a skylight on the top of the RV that they could have dropped in through and been 'safely' (as safe as Jimmy was :P ) inside the RV. I assumed that was the plan, and got really confused when Jimmy got out of his seat.

Well, being in a farming district, I'd go for a closed cab tractors (air-conditioned comfort and entertainment system- soft I know) and set of disk ploughs (harrows). More than enough!

You need to remember that that the walkers aren't exactly trying to get out of the way and are walking straight at them reasonably slowly. Most shots are at close range, silhouetted by the fire of the barn. It would be almost perfect shooting conditions. Though why they’d stick with 9mm in those conditions when you could get by with a nice and accurate 22RL auto pistol with high capacity mags and practically no recoil is beyond me. Just being able to carry a thousand or so rounds of ammo would make it worth it. Low noise too!

Jimmy died because he deserved to die, He'd done bugger all in the series, letting others take all the risks and sitting back safe at the farm. I can't remember him actually speaking more than one or two words in total.

Man these guy don’t deserver to survive the ZA! ;)
