Smurfy is my flying nick, as i`m 1.62m tall and was given that nickname at 6th form aged 17, 27 years on I still have people calling it me and by some who don`t actually know my real name at all.

My nick is self explanatory  . I like it....I like it a lot.
Had it since my virtual flying career started back 13 years ago and been drinking it for over 27 years. Whiskey |
The classic Primal Scream album from 1991. Includes the tracks " Higher Than The Sun " and " Loaded " as well as " Damaged " and " I'm Comin' Down ", which sort of describes my flying style.:)

Origin
I called myself "Jumpy" because I am an old "jumper", that is skydiver.
Also fly a microlight. Like flying just above the tree tops, down with the birds. Land on the beach, or looking for crocs in the creeks. I'm also a bit nervous (jumpy) so it is one of those double entendre things, I think. I'm not nervous in the air, though. Things are clear up there. |
One day I flushed the toilet and it made this weird sound. I listened closely and came up with the nick.

Forename Alasdair (Ali)
Surname Fisher (Fish) And i used to go to High school with a special needs guy that wasnt getting any special help. hence being at my school. he actually made this name up 21 years ago. |
Boring really, my family name is Holland. I was called 'Dutch' all through school.
The 851 is for a Ducati I'd still like to get my mitts on.:) |
We had a dog our kids named Binky. In registering him with the American Kennel Club, there were already 8 other Binky's, so the AKC registered him as Binky9. He's gone, now, but not forgotten.

I'm such a bad pilot I'm always looking for vengeance but that nick was taken.
I wanted Ace of Aces first but that was taken too. Had the name Luthier and sold it to Iliya for an IL-2 mug. |
My nickname is the title of an old arcade game with biplanes I used to spend a fortune to in the arcade halls as a kid.
