Yes, but look at the performance of your first card...several periods of it doing nothing.

This thread will probably make things clearer: (In case you haven't seen it)

@janpitor

Well I do fly and flew in ALL Yak9's of the planet, and the effect is very similar to someone with poor experience with not well setup straps for example a programmer that wanted to test the effects.. It all depend how you are strapped on and if you do acrobatics or prep for a fight better be well tight.. You will definitely bang your head on canopy but to an extent and depend of which aircraft.

Installed Patch. Cleared Cache. Turned up most everything to high. Turned on Grass(use to cause freeze right before finished loading.) No epi filter, no Vsync. Anti to 4x. Game loaded fine. Fairly Good Framerate.(ALways use Crosscountry mish with 109). Was flying at 2100 so I decided to take a look at exhaust flames. While paning around game started to get slower and slower and finally I alt tab out and my whole System has pretty much been brought to a crawl. Even after I managed to shut the game down I had to reboot. System would just freeze then unfreeze.

On second Try, BSOD just as the world loaded.

Off to work. 5 days before I can fiddle with it more.

I have never problem with medium setting.

Hello again!
Finally, I tested a little more. Especially online playing is impossible for me, because the game getting slower and slower. As mentioned above, I have also to tab out of the game, to kill launcher.exe, because my pc is getting unstable while playing.

When I am on a server, the buttons did not react at once, sometimes I have to hit exit 4-5 times and if I am lucky, game will exit the server...

In online games, stuttering is partly heavy. Heavier than with the prev. beta patch.

If online, sound stutters too (means sometimes you hear it, then not.. then again...) or sound stops completely...

It happens 3 times that a spitfire started on a spitfire when spawning on an airfield, resulting in a big explosion.

I got an Nvidia GTS 250, but full screen mode is not suitable for me, because it slows down the game additionally.

My Settings:
all set to medium, grass off, everything other set to on, epilepsy filter off, no anti aliasing.

So i would say, online is not playable with the last beta patch, offline is ok so far...

My PC: Phenom 2 X3 @ 2.8Ghz, 4gb Ram DD3, TrackIR5, Win 7 Pro 64 Bit...

I am a little bit disappointed now, but this helps nobody ... :(

This beta still has bad water texture that was already in previous version. See the attachment.

If I change video settings, the game says it needs to restart. When trying to do this it always crashes.

Hello, figured i'll add my two cent for the feedback.

Running 2 HD5770 in crossfire (1680x1050) i've seen a big improvement overall.
With most setting to medium a bunch on high, vsync on, 2x AA (everything on except SSAO) the gain is approx 10 fps in every situations, its smooth over london, no stutters anywhere else.
Doing 45 avg fps in the blackdeath.
For the downsides i've found SSAO to be a huge fps drain (more than when on a single card) cuts about half fps, flickering on land shadows, some freezes when returning to the menu.

A lucky beta patch for me, a shame it cause soo much problems for some.

Thanks for the hard work your putting in this.

EDIT:for me the load of GPU cores in xfire is symmetrical with both loads around 50%

When there are ground fires with smoke, it causes all the cloud shadows to flicker and jiggle badly, and at certain angles, the clouds themselves will flicker. Everything looks beautiful, however, if there aren't any burning planes wrecks. I have Win7-64, single nVidia GTX 285 w/latest WHQL drivers. Using Russian version, full screen, Vsync box checked, SSAO unchecked, 8xAA, resoluton set to desktop res 1920x1200 59Hz.

Have no problems running the current "real" version and haven't tried a beta patch yet but glad I haven't cosidering that we're now going to Beta Beta Beta Beta patch. Or is this Beta Beta Beta? I'm loosing track.

Just frustrating to see no progress whatsoever. I love this sim but there seems to be a lack of focus here. working on the way cockpit needles bounce when half the community can't run the game.

C'mon guys what seems to be the problem? I hope you can get the basics running on everyones rigs soon so people can atleast enjoy the game. Then updates become bonuses!!

Love,

I quote all :-( I found many other problems with this patch!:evil::evil:

I´ve been fiddling around the quality settings from Medium to Very High. Grass is a eater but shadows are the culprit, besides flickering, it´s quite heavy or there are some conflicts specially with trees. I disabled it and the sim fly much better and smoother. It´s a shame because the lights and shadows in the cockpit is something. With shadows on, the flying experience feels hesitant.
