As I've promised yesterday, here is an example of the new realistic skin for german officer from mok:

http://img216.imagevenue.com/loc523/..._122_523lo.jpg

You can see a lieutenant of infantry (Leutnant der Infanterie).
Changes from original skin:
-new color of uniform (feldgrau),
-new colored rank insignias (white for infantry in this example),
-new cap (special officer cap with silver braid over the visor).
We are planning to create different types of skins for soldiers and officers from different army forces.
Various types of military awards will be added also ;)

It's wonderful, this is splendid result  Service cap is correct. Color is also realistic. Is mok the specialist in questions of uniform and the artist in your team? My congratulations for you, forlik, and for mok too ;) I want to ask: mok will appear on this forum?

Do you want only this officer? Or all new mok's skins for today? Now we have several skins, but all of them are not final versions. For example, today I received a new version of lieutenant :)
I will speak with mok, but my opinion is: not to send temporary versions to anybody, final versions can be downloaded with our mod (perhaps separately as mok addon). If he thinks otherwise - he will send the skins to you.

Oh, you gladdened me! I think, that you made realistic German officers.
On your website there is information, that 'almost all officers ranks will be presented'. But on some screenshots officers with the identical rancs are shown. But how many skins are belong to one officer's rank?
I see, that mok is present on the forum. Dear mok, will you answer my questions?

Thank you, AHO! But I am not agree. Many rewards you see only on colonel's uniform. This Colonel was a participant in the First World War and he has even rewards during that period (you can see this rewards on screenshot). You will look photos in the historical books and you will understand that I rights ;)

I know there were high decorated veteran offiers. But in my opinion
this do not look rather good.

In Germany there is a saying:

Anyway good work :)

1. On the second picture the officer has a green uniform. Is this mok's work?

Yes, but not one ;) Two lamps on the screenshot (and two on the other side of the pool).
In general I think, that not working lamp is a normal, because some of them can be turned off (especially when there are no people in the pool). But in my opinion these lamps are too dark.

It's very interesting! Will this be the military police of Wehrmacht or military police, subordinated to Reichssicherheitshauptamt (RSHA)? This is important because the employees of these departments dressed into the different uniform.

He was unique, this is one of the generic german officers!

Possibly, the model of Meltzer from DtS isn't good, but his old face was original. I think, that you can complete old Meltzer's face for the new model.

The old model of Meltzer was considerably differed from models of other characters in DtS. You will compare, as walks Meltzer, and as his adjutant.

Because it's DtS-model with DtS-animations and unique texture map.
I think that current implementation of D. Meltzer is better, even with non unique face. But it's not a final version, it's only announce of the new feature. And we'll try to make the face unique ;)

First, I've decided to remove all references to Ferdinand, because in summer 1943 this tank destroyer was used in the battle of Kursk and can't was a secret for soviet intelligence. In this mission I mean another tank destroyer. Jagdpanther. It was produced from october 1943 on three factories: Braunschweig, Hannover and Potsdam. And I've decided to select one of these towns as mission place :)

You must stretch the face skin to fit to the face model,
but I think mok can handle it. It should'n be that complicated...

So... where could I download the original MoT?

Liz Shaw 02-19-2009 10:33 AM

I know it hasn't been translated into English yet, but I'm just curious...

New skin for embassy agent. The previous skin was too modern for this mission.

It's very good news! I am glad, that you updated your site. Last update was on February 1, and I frightened, that you thought over to make MoTMod. But you again with us and this is excellently! :)
New skins from mok are very realistic and historically correct. Will be represented the German soldiers of categories “Mannschaften” and “Unteroffiziere”, who serve in Sanitätstruppe and Feldgendarmerie?

Thanks, guys! Of course we'll continue our work. New skins are coming soon ;)

Look at the carpet on the floor ;) First and last parts were darker than central part.

Have you sorted out the issue with DtS-only models for Missions 2 and 6 yet?

Unfortunately no. And I can't do it by myself :(
To convert these models to MoT-form (adaptation of the new skeleton) I need some HG tools. Or some help from HG.

Sure! It will help me to create the english version of MoTmod. You can see my positive feedback in the sticky thread ;)

Hello, community!

This mod can be used for MoT only ;)
About release date, it's a difficult to say. I'm still having problems with DtS characters (especially in missions 2 and 6).

Some new screens from Jagdpanther mission:

Liz Shaw 09-01-2009 10:22 AM

Some notable differences in the screenshots:
  • New decorative truck patterns
  • A new picture of Hitler
  • However, a German soldier makes a normal salute instead of the "Heil Hitler" salute. Does that mean you know how to make the salute scripts work in DtS missions?

bcz 09-01-2009 10:53 AM

Another question, does this mod make the missions of DTS easier?
PS Keep up the good work. I really like the new uniforms

Yes, I know how to make it.

Not a simple question ;)
MoTmod 1.0 will contain 18 missions on MoT engine without change in the game logic, so the difficulty level will be the same.
MoTmod 1.1 will contain fully reworked mission#1 (Jagdpanther): new skin for each vehicle, new uniform/weapon/behaviour logic for each soldier. Some features from MoT will be applied too, like military salute and pass zones (for example, soldier of fieldgendarmerie can't pass to the tank base, see screenshot#1 from my previous post).
For today, I can't say anything about the difficulty level in Jagdpanther, because work still in progress. But as for me, I prefer more difficult ;)

So could the British, American and Russian dialogue work in the DtS missions?

Did you mean dialogues between idle soldiers? Yes, it works.

bcz 09-16-2009 08:42 AM

I was just thinking, is it possible to make the german flags bigger? Sometimes they look a bit stupid, especially when the are hung from a large height (like in the Polish Surprise, look at the entrance to the hall from outside). They don't look that impressive because of their small length

Did you mean this place?

I think it will be better to delete this flag instead of making it bigger.

bcz 09-18-2009 06:11 PM

Yes, thats the one. Pity you can't make it bigger.

It's not a problem to make this flag bigger, but there are no place above door for it:

Um, the last two screenshots are from the MoT missions. The one worth pointing out is the "Die Spies!" screenshot featuring Strogov in his French worker clothes from "White Head".

You can compare second screen with the screen from DtS. I think, you'll find another feature ;)
Also you can make DtS screen in mission#4 and compare hotel visitors suits.
