Luthier, Don't change them :)

I think I need to RTFM 'cos I don't understand them at all yet!

I think a lot of people neglected to read the manual (it was in the manual wasnt it?):) Generally once you have it set up to your liking you don't need to touch it again except on rare occasions. If you reverse, and make the cockpit clicking using Alt it will be harder especially during combat where there is already a higher pilot work load. Thanks for the great update.....keep up the good work.

I agree. Leave this as is please.

They are fully customizable like in windows, but it are hidden, Alt click on them and go to customize window :

If you change hidden to visible in Title you can grab it and move like in Windows.

If you change hidden to visible in Border you can resize it like in Windows, just grab the border and move it.

Edit :

+1 leave as is.

That's very good news ;-)

Your efforts are highly appreciated, but every now and then a weekend off for the dev team is fine by me. Recharge those batteries....

A great game.

The best game until now. I thank you. Once again you have done it and given us a new top range simulation, once again thanks.

Great stuff team, you are the people to get it sorted, and do take everybodies advice and take time to relax.

I didn't but they send me a link for download the game. Check your email account. (It could be in your junk folder)

How will the steam version be updated? Will Steam deliver it or will it be updated via web-downloaded patches

I imagine the friday patch will be via steam, but the public beta will be a separate download apparently.

David Hayward 04-05-2011 08:45 PM

Relax. I assume that church bells will be rung when the patch is ready.

Hi I REALLY REALLY need a 190 !! Any time line for my beloved

El_Marta 04-05-2011 09:07 PM

Hi COD Team,

thank you for your great efforts. As I see it now COD has a lot of new great features and as it has already been said a lot of potential.

"We worked through the weekend to improve the game some more. I have to note that this wasn't anything unusual, most of the team has been working on a schedule like this for months. As I think I've mentioned somewhere, I've been working 7 days a week since mid-summer."

Perhaps that is one of the reasons for the poor state COD is in at release.

Stop this. Go back to a normal life.

I hope you will be supporting COD for a long time and therefore it would be sad to see you burned out and quitting this great project.

We're somewhere in the summer of 1940 atm, so you need to wait about a year until June 1941 to fly that baby.

That's only logical :-)

I just turned it all to maximum settings and the frame rates were actually not half as bad as expected flying over SE England. I was expecting my pc to crash before it loaded. The graphics look absolutely breathtaking! I was getting between 5-10 FPS and the stutters where causing the usual mayhem but im on a Radeon 4870, Q6600.

This game alone will make me get an upgrade to an i7 and nice GFX card when the problems have been ironed out. All you miserable crying buggers who want your money back and putting nasty reviews around the net - you should wait on a bit, this game is simply not ready yet and there isn't much choice when it comes to flight sims, you should give them a break and let them turn it into a 10\10 game! :)

Oh don't worry - we can do that already! ;)

Since I'm writing some pretty massively delayed software for my PhD, I now have a lot of sympathy for software developers facing impossible deadlines.

Don't work too hard (says he, between test runs of code at almost 0100; OK, so work too hard because there's no alternative, but at least have a beer - cheers!).

What you can't shoot anything down without having 600 cannons strapped to your plane?

In my case I love the stunningly beautiful cockpit, the Kommandogerät and the roll rate. Yeah that's weird I know it. But I choose my cars for the dashboard as well. After the road, the dash is the thing you see the most.

And of course you have a great opportunity to admire it in a 190 - mainly because you can't see ***-all in front of it. :-P

Actually, to be fair, the 190 cockpit is a lot better than the 109 - but then it seems to have been designed for a normal pilot, rather than a contortionist midget. I think the RAF had the right approach with the Spit though: a standard layout for primary instruments, pipe-and-tobacco pouch for the essentials, a crowbar for beating off the natives if you land in hostile territory, and then just bung in all the other clutter where convenient, and attach big labels so you can figure out what it is all for. Useful reading matter too, if Gerry seems to have scarpered by the time you've scrambled. ;)

November 1941?

This is approx May 1940-May 1941.

You'll be waiting for 'Leaning towards France' or
'Barbarossa', "North Africa' or 'Italian Campaign'

No roadmap on those yet. :)

Thanks Ala, yes a download is in my email, but i was wondering if a DVD of the sim had been received by UK purchasers, not really interested in a download.
I've been waiting 6yrs so can wait a little longer, although fast approaching the young and virile age of 80, perhaps not. Shame about the probs' never mind, it's in the right hands to get it sorted.

klem 04-06-2011 11:24 PM

Yes mine came from Ubisoft. I think Ubi's Store/Shop is the only place you can get the DVD rather than the download.

When did you receive your copy klem?, i ordered mine beginning of Feb, still nothing, i was wondering if they were holding them back to include the updates,
yes i am an optimist. i'll give them a prod if nothing happens this week. Cheers.

Hi Scrope,

I'd give them a prod now if I was you.

I ordered my collector's edition on 18th Jan and it arrived on 31st March as planned.

I then ordered a second Collector's Edition for my brother on 2nd April, which arrived yesterday.

Looks like they've lost your order my friend.:(

Hi Dutch, Hu-bloody -ray, just been delivered 1/2 hr ago, you can all go to bed now, it's my turn, thanks for replies, i think i'll put the kettle on first, this could be traumatic.

Get Valium

and be patient and forgiving :)

Oh, and RTFM, what there is of it.

GT182 04-10-2011 02:32 AM

If everyone remembers, IL2 up to now were released with problems which were fixed. UBI is the cause of the early releases and resulting problems, just like any other sim/game they've published. I'm sure Oleg and Team will resolve all the issues they can. We've supported him in the past and he's always come thru for us, and I can't see any reason why he won't continue to do so. CoD looks to be the definitive flight sim for the WWII era.... and I can't wait to see it up and running.

I only hope CoD will be playable on HyperLobby's server, not just Steam. And patches downloadable from other sites besides Steam. Yeah, I don't care for and will not use Steam.
