how make Snapshot on PS3 please?

Pretty easy I think.... Press the PS button, (Don't hold it down though) then scroll left to camera menu, and there is an option to take a screenshot. It will then be saved to your HD.
Then, attach it to a message when you need to send it to Edal86

I have not camera. Snapshot is not feature system PS3?

im sure you guys dont mean it but ever since this started i have felt that i have to play sim regularly to be respected but im happy on realistic
i enterd this for a laugh not to win because im the worst sim player who doesnt stall
still im sure you lot never ment to put that across maybe its cos im doing homework (sooooooooooo boring i need some bop or im gonna die)

Not at all dude, but realistic, IMO is just a halfway house between arcade and sim. If you can fly well in realistic, you're at least 75% of the way to being a great sim pilot.

What I love about sim over realistic is that real tactics can actually come into play. You can hit the deck, dive into a riverbed and lose your pursuer. Or you can use clouds for the same purpose. That's just not possible on realistic.

Also, you get control of your flaps, which is actually really useful.

The downside of sim is the hard to see planes, but again, hit the deck and they are easier to see against the sky. Also, your map is a lot more important to you in sim.

Getting used to the aviator control layout if you don't use a stick is also a massive bonus as well, as you need to be looking around almost constantly.

But I certainly don't think less of you because you don't play sim in any way shape or form. And I'm sure a lot of the other guys probably feel the same, although I obviously can't speak for them.

Now get your homework done and go practise target aquisition with you Mark I eyeball lol. Because that is the real make or break aspect of sim flying...

yeh i relized bnz planes are useless in realistic
i just find it hard using the aviator layout cos i want 100% throttle all the time
i should proberbly get a stick.
if it had target tracking if you made contact with the target so bnz planes still worked and stoped tracking if it you lose sight say if he went below instruments id love it

I did use to think that the target camera button should look at the nearest target (based off the demo). But, while that would be handy, won't cut it in sim.

Sim is a lot about seeing them before they see you (for me), so you need to be constantly on the lookout.

One advantage using the av8r layout is you are at 50 percent throttle and you can turn tighter than someone using 100 percent throttle.

Thats one of the reason edal86 can out turn most people :)

realy? i thought 100% thorottle would be better because
1. you dont lose as much speed
2. higher speed makes wings more efective and like on a f1 car the wings are like the elivators being raised to create downforce and they work better at high speed

il play a match if some1 messages me if you dont message me your loss because i will most likely lose although i will still try my hardest.

Slower is better in a turning fight. As long as you don't stall. Look at the little bi-plane in the game, it goes slow as crap and can out turn every plane.

But I'm sure most of the time Edal is turning on you he is at 50% throttle. The faster you fly the harder your plane is trying to turn and more stress is being applied to the plane.

AND only crashes count, not kills, not ticket. So the guy with the less crashes wins, whatever the end game msg says (cant believe i missed out on it even tho i personnally did the translation, knew and understood this!)

Me and trk29 got abit confused on our first match where he shot me down 3 times and I shot him twice, but we both had 6 crashes. At first I thought I had lost but this was actually a tie game... we both forgot to take the snapshot so this led to some misunderstanding.. in the end edal asked us the do the game again (i had no problem with keeping the original match score but...thank u so much :) lol)

Unless I get the day off work, only after 5pm pacific time, and my other opponent has also requested Sunday. That would probably take 4 hours to complete all 4 matches. Maybe, but just in case, I have

Monday off
Tuesday through Thursday work from 2pm to 6pm pacific/5pm to 9pm eastern

ships have never brought me down but wont say it will not happen. What you can do is stay away from them, meet your opponent halfway.

NEVER HIDE, OR LAND, It will count as an automatic loss if this is overly reported. Also, if you loose connection 2 times trying the same match it will count as loss. If your opponent looses connection and you are winning, then the score passes over to the next match try. (I will add these to the rules on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20)

LOL no, for BoP :) I was playing PSP so I wasn't just staring blankly at the screen lol, but it was a bit annoying as I would rather have been playing MW2 (which is, indeed, sorted now - although it reads the disk almost constantly, so watch out for a load of "MW2 broke my PS3" threads in the near future. And this time it probably actually will be down to the game...)


If you have trouble tracking someone down, but you have their PSN, just try adding him, or just send a message (you don't need them added to message them). That of course assumes you have their PSN... Edal must have run into them at some point surely, for tryouts?

nope, You each get 3 points. Remember each match is worth 3 points if you win, 1 point if you tie, and 0 if you loose. you each play every opponent of your group twice, so if you win both matches then you will receive 6 points total.
maybe, you will all get the picture as soon as you see the group standings. You will also see that there is more posibilities to qualify to next stage than you think.
At any moment you can ask me if, mathematically, it is possible for you qualify, I will look at all the data I have and tell you exactly what will be required of you for this.

With only 1/3 of the matches played, no doubt it's mathematically possible for everyone to qualify.

I feel really stupid for querying this but my score has me discombobulated. I have 17 kills on page one, but the breakdown on page 17 shows 9+7+5+5 =26?

Not that im whinging because it's lower than it should be :P my deaths seem to be similar: 9 on page one, breakdown 4 + 3 + 7 + 2 =16

Yes, all crashes count as kills. By the way, Mirgervin is the only participant on the UK group to have completed his 4 weekly matches.
Also, you are not save yet, you will have to fight him before the Group Stage is over.

in my last match i relised why i am so crap at sim
my tv is JUNK
i only see an opponant if hes in firing range even if it is a head on pass and sometimes not at all

I don't think it's just you - I can't see people either and I'm on a 32" at 720p. I have to sit 3 feet from the TV to even compete...

think its pretty hard for evryone, but some maps make it way harder to spot plane from a distance than other.

Getting better at spotting things here: one thing i was doin wrong at first is i was moving my head way too much, making the graphics blur. It is easier to see the little dot if u spend a good 2-3 seconds looking steadily in one direction; so try n focus ur attention on a specific region (given by the map) for a few seconds, even if ur making a manoeuver, b4 looking somewhere else right away or check back ur map.

Them dots are dam small so ur basically looking for some movment, which is impossible to do if your actually moving ur head all the time

Plus some it's a combination of the plane's camo and the map. A green plane on a white map for instance...
