So I put the "refactored" mod into data\Mods folder (I had to create the folder). I fired up KB TL and it didn't work. The file format was .kfs which seemed similar to other files associated with this game. Any ideas?

Is it because the folder name is Mods and not mods? I'm really at a loss.

Do I have to activate it somewhere? All I did was check to see if I could restock troops from the hero screen (is this the right place) and I couldn't find any option to do so.

That's strange; it worked for me.
I played the collector's edition patched to 1.7 at the time (and that's the revision I tested the mod with).
Dunno what the latest patch is; still waiting for the Armoured Princess...

Capitalization does not matter. MODS, Mods, mods, MODs are all fine.
You put the file there as it is said in the readme.

No, no activation is required, the mod should work right away.
Restock the troops from the hero screen?
Does not sound like the right place to me.
Do you see some new items in your inventory?

It's entirely possible I didn't understand the mod. How do you buy more troops with the refactored mod?

I see here:

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=5640

that it says the mod requires

KBMaster mod (http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpos...1&postcount=47)

But I'm guessing I just didn't go to the proper place to restock.

Yes, you're missing things.
I suggest you read this, this and this (which are the originals of this compilation, each with its own readme).

Thanks!

I didn't know where to find out more about the mods. Army shop mod works great.

Added a note to the original message.

For some reason King's Bounty crashes, when i extract this mod in the mods folder. Other mods i've tried (interface and camera) seem to work fine. I have 1.7 version of the game (Bought from Impulse).Any ideas?
Edit: the originals, that require the compatibility mod also work fine.

I am using the GOG version @ 1.7 and tried your mod. It crashed on start up. So I went in and edited the files but changed them back to "en" from "eng". Then it worked but it comes up with an error like the one posted earlier but with chat _ all ones instead.

Have fun

Also for some reason Rune changer doesnt work with original or my edited file.

Works perfectly with my Steam copy of KBL, thank you!

They all say 11111115_actor_name and responses say 11111115_question_#. What should I do to get it to work. My files are eng.
