That's the idea but that's just my 2 cents, and don't take any time pressure also change a lot the gameplay so that's not the perfect approach.
The problem I got when playing impossible mode after some games at normal was to not have a correct evaluation of the game parts. To not know yet which tactics still continue work well like in normal mode and those that don't work so well in impossible mode. To not know how the xp care could be more important than in normal mode. To not know that don't optimize the character is something you could regret in impossible mode. To not know what skills took more importance than in normal mode.
Discovering all that stuff in impossible mode and trying to match or even beat best records is a bit too much. I feel that discovering first main aspect of impossible mode with a tempered time goal and then plan and do another game with an ambitious time goal would have been better for me. Now I'm not so far to end of my attempt it's too late. Ha well. :grin:
