um probably doesn't work with Atari 1.65 version without some changes to it. If someone with Atari 1.65 confirms this and wants to volunteer "be my hands" I'll walk them through the steps needed to get me the info I need to make it work.

Hello bman654,

I sent you a PM, cause your mod doesnt work with mulit4 language version from europe.

Would be very happy if you drop me a note.

This isn't really a mod. It is a "trainer". Basically, just run this program and leave the window running while you play the game and it will unlock the camera during battles so that you can rotate all around or zoom further in or out.

You can download the mod at the bottom of this post.

**** IMPORTANT NOTES ****

This program requires .Net Framework 2.0 or later! If you get an error trying to run the program, goto Microsoft's website and download .Net Framework 2.0

This program has only been tested with the game versions listed below. Due to differences in copy protection, it is very unlikely that this program will work with other versions of the game. If you have another version of the game and are a little bit computer savvy, then PM me and I'll send you some instructions on how you can help me get it working for other versions of the game.

VERSION HISTORY

v1.0 Oct 2, 2008
- Initial Release
- Supports Gamers Gate v1.6.4 version of the game.

v1.1 Oct 2, 2008
- Added support for the following game versions:
--Gamers Gate v1.6.5
--Atari initial release v1.6b7 (special thanks to JGary321)

Enjoy

Only just noticed this, excellent idea. I wonder why the game devs made it locked?

Thanks a lot, this "mod" is great ! Works like a charm with 1C/Nobilis (french) version here.

Is it possible to do the same thing for the "real-time riding" part of the game ? I hate how the camera angle is bound to the zoom level

Hi there,

great job - I just experience some probs when clicking left and middle mouse button at once. The game crashes under these circumstances.

You may consider placing this info + your system info + your game version in the Technical corner (technical problems) topic / thread

Doesn't seem to work with v1.7 :( The mod has no effect anymore.

Someone with 1.7 do this for me and I'll update the mod:

I need you to search the game memory for the code I need to change. There's about 8 spots I change but I just need you to find 1 or 2 of them and I can do the rest based on that:

1. Download and install Cheat Engine 5.3 (or later I suppose) (www.cheatengine.org)
2. Run King's Bounty
3. Alt-tab back to the desktop and run Cheat Engine
4. Click the glowing button on the top left to bring up a Process List window
5. Locate kb.exe and select it and click OK
6. On the Cheat Engine screen, use these settings:

Value type: Array of Bytes
Scan type: Search for this array
Make sure the Hex checkbox is checked
Enter this into the text field: f3 0f 11 87 a0 00 00 00
In Memory Scan Options:
Check 32-Bit
From: 00400000
To: 00A00000
Check "Also scan read-only memory"

7. Once you've set those things, click "First Scan"
8. With any luck, it should find 4 results in the left pane. If it does, send me those 4 addresses.

Here goes, it's a pleasure to help with such detailed step-by-step instructions

(Just one thing, you can't check 32-Bit because :
-scan 32-Bit = To 7FFFFFFF automatically set.
-scan To 00A00000 = Memory Scan Options automatically unchecked.
Both return the same results anyway.)
