The whole story of III./KG 76 in the transition phase between BoF and BoB is very difficult to understand, because the old unit was broken up and various crews were transfered to other units - including the Stuka arm IIRC. On top of it all there is very little data on this whole issue in the archives so it's still not really possible to discern what went on and when exactly. Maybe that crew came from the old III./KG 76 and attempted to carry on the tradition ... But that's speculation.
