Everyone does it from Russia, China, US down to North korea and Iraq ... no country is innocent.

Haven't large standing armies always been about this? In Great Britain the last large standing army in peacetime was the one created by Cromwell during the civil war and after his death we had a helluva time trying to reduce it's powers and get rid of it. We took these lessons to heart - as did the people who would go on to write the US constitution. Until the Cold War large standing armies were associated with tyrannical regimes.

What makes this video a decoded RQ-170 video?
Guess I miss the obvious.

Raptor streaming video was not even coded. What they hve achieved is retrieving some img out of some wrecked/burnt hardware.
Nothing says it was cripted with some sort of sophisticated code.
Anyway, it's not because you arr from Iran that you shld be an idiot with computer sciences. Each country here hve the opportunity to outperform any others

The term "Cold War" itself was propaganda.

By implying that it was just a "different type of war" the general populace could be convinced of the need to maintain a large military and high military spending even during peacetime.

Americans are spawned from the most adventurous of stock from every corner of the earth. The lessons of the past are not forgotten by us, nor do we deny to ourselves, that evil does exist in this world.

You just keep it within your borders and we won't complain anymore!

The administration IS the government. And only defense contractors benefit from the spending. If we spent as much as the next inline country we could payoff our debt in 10 years. We dont need a global empire we cant pay for and it makes the USA look bad sticking our nose in other countrys business.

The USA is not threatened by any country. We spend as much as the next 11 combined which is crazy, no wonder we are in so much debt. Cut the defense budget in half and put it towards the debt.

You seem to have zero understanding on this issue. Try selling your ideas to the Mom & Pop shop near a base, or the factory worker making a pair of military grade socks. Or the thousands of shareholders holding a defense co. stock portfolio
