Now that I think of it, I don't remember ever seeing a message on ATAG about "XXXX shot down by flak", it's always "XXXXX shot down by bofors, bofors, bofors"

Finally! Colander please can something be done about the amount of bofors on ATAG. I get shot down by bofors more than I do by players. England is a virtual no fly zone not beacause of the RAF but because of Bofors guns!

Actually, what I would like is for flak to be effective and not only a black cloud that slows FPS.

We are derailing this thread. I will continue this in the ATAG dedicated server thread. ;)

Precisely my point.

Even if '3.7inch AA, Hurricane Mk1 shot down xxxxxx' shows up, I've realized that in these situations the 3.7 inch actually contributes nil damage, but counts as a partial kill just because the game registers a little flak debris contacting the plane.

If you put 10 or 15 3.7 inch guns on the ground and fly around for a long time, both close and far, low and high; no hits are taken.

How effective was British flak in 1940? It's possibly overmodeled. There was no radar guidance during this period.

Just a thouight:cool:
