Over a cup of tea?
Economics are pretty complicated, you only have two options:

- spend a few hundred hours learning it on your own
- get a degree.

Lets just make sure we agree on something.

The biggest example of labeling someone right wing was the Nazi party.

They are Nationalist Socialist.

There isn't anything in Europe but big government types.

So don't confuse the right and the left in Europe with a left/right in the US and A. They're not every remotely close.

In Europe Right and Left are Socialist.

You guys are something else.

In Europe right and left are socialist?!? I have rarely heard such complete and utter ignorance. Beyond belief.

I suppose when you find yourself standing at the far extreme of the right wing, then everyone, absolutely everyone else is to your left.

This may come as news to you guys but most Europeans shake their heads in disbelief at the US lack of a proper social support network or a proper system of healthcare for the whole population. Most of us view it as 'uncivilised'.

So keep your smarmy sense of right-wing arrogance. We don't need it.

comparing two totalitarian regimes (soviet russia and nazi germany) doesn't really work http://esl.fis.edu/learners/support/...t/spectrum.htm. the political spectrum is a circle, the extremes resemble each other in many many ways. away from the extremes the difference is more obvious. the right go for lower public spending and lower taxation, usually towards the top end of the earning scale. the left spend more and tax more. the right also tend more towards xenophobic isolationism and tend to have a more anti-immigration leaning than the left.

What ever happened to the good Democrats from a long time ago?

And where are the Progressives on this chat? Today both Republicans and Democrats have been co-opted by Progressives.
