:(

I was so keen to learn how to get it up to 4.1Ghz...

Thanks for the explanations, I will try to experiment a bit :)

S!

Will see how my new rig, in signature, will handle Ciffs Of Dover...Hopefully well.

Thanks very much for sharing your results Cheesehawk, I've often wondered whether it's a benefit to Clod but don't have the patience to do scientific tests (I always seem to end up changing more than one setting between tests!)

Are some technical details of the new Ivy Bridges allready known? Like how many cores and with which initial ghz they run? Any Price speculations?
I just found very general informations about it, but nothing more...

I have a laptop with i5-2430m 2.4ghz cpu and Nvidia GT540m with 2MB gpu. I'm overcloking the gpu from the stock 672Mhz to 800Mhz and memory from stock 800Mhz to 1000Mhz. System is %100 stable, gpu is at 74C maximum and performance gain is very good. I'm using native resolution of 1366*768 with grass, shadows off, roads detail off, buildings detail low, forests ver low before and barely playable at crowded air wars. But now it's quite smooth with these settings.

I bought Noctua NH-D14 before two days and overclocked my 2500K to 4.5GHz.
Performance has increased significantly.
