I think 2500 might be too high for any significant amount of time. In Flea's datasheets you find the following for the e3 (of course I don't know how much of this is appropriate to CoD).

Situation_ATA___RPM__Time
Takeoff___1.45___2468___5min
Climb____1.35___2368___30min
Cruise___1.30___2326___Cons.
Dive_____Idle___3000____-
