Looks like a new Wings of Prey. Does not come close to CoD.

as long as they make simulations no problem with me
hopefully not an arcade game:grin:

Another key feature is the realism. In contrast to «Wings of Prey» where was 'Arcade' mode «World of Planes» will have no concessions for an inexperienced player. The developers promise the most realistic game that could impress even experienced virtual pilot. However, it is expected that the game will be suitable even for beginners, but how it will be achieved is a secret yet.
From their site. That's one hell of a goal, don't believe it till I see it I guess...

Hi albx,

I don't know what makes you think I should have been happy about CoD's problems. This is not so. I like CoD, it's an amazing project, and I wish it every success.

A good massive multiplayer ww2 flying game is badly needed. Aces high is milking what's left of it's community with a game from 1999.
If they don't dumb it down too much I'll play it.

I still remember the excitement of going with 30 plane mission under the radar deep in enemy teritory to attack some high value targets, when you know there are 250 players in the enemy team that, if detected, could all come to ruin your day.

I signed up for the beta. :)

Then your bound to get an argument. If you want to degrade a sim you'll get a much better reception in your own forum.

Thanks Chivas,

The A10 thread on this forum is a very good example of how another sim may be discussed in a great way. Noone there is in the degrading business, very pleasant and informative.

I don't mind World of Planes being successful, quite the opposite. But judging by the concessions World of Tanks does to "fun" I just can't see it as a realistic flight sim.

I will indeed buy it just to support the development of more flight sims. Creating a false market if you will just so the bean counters will say they can justify the expense of further development of more flight sims. But for me its a game I will end up owning but use the disk as a drink coaster.

Looks like this is going to be a real cheap purchase for you then, as announced it will be 'Subscription Free'. You'll need to look for some other drink coaster.
