Plays well for me, everything on 'High' at 1920 x 1080. Blue stripes are the only issue.

I suggest you (the first one posting the question) to take a ride in the forum.

There are still big problems, moreover in the multiplayer, in FM's, Single player campaign etc etc. Despite of the game's system requirements showed, you need still a very good one to play in a smooth way.

We all are hoping that they are going to solve everything with their hard work, but still there are alot of problems.

Tony, how much improvement did your change of GPU give you?

RedToo.

On the "Manage 3D settings" page, go to "Power management feature" and force to "prefer maximun performance" instead of "Adaptative".

This recommendation is due because I feel that AA in game is related somewhat with the smoothness of the scene; In my opinion, the game shuts down AA if the framerates are poor; This could be the explanation for the fact that some people here don´t see AA , while others only appreciate "x2 AA", besides a third group that is already happy....So, the more the power of your card, the better the AA...

...well, I think....

moved from a core2Duo with GTX260 videocard to my new rig (see sig). Really happy with how it plays on this rig. SSD makes a huge difference.

Also I've gotta complement the team on their rendition of water. Keep finding myself gazing at how realistic it looks (waves etc)

Seems to me that most that are posting systems that run the sim well have, at least, a 3+ghz processor, 6+gb DDR 3 memory, good Nvidia vid card, and Win 7 64 bit.

mine: 3.4 ghz Phenom-quad, 470 Nvidia, 6 gb 1333 ddr 3 mem, win 7 64 bit home, gigabyte mobo.

Since I went to win 7, I had xp, the sim has run great pretty much maxed out with only a couple things set at medium settings.

Very high settings except building detail to med (Luthier posted that quality drop is very mild and it saves a lot of fps) 1920x1200 AA 2x
Very happy with performance here.

Been running the Steam version (no beta patches) for 2 weeks now. Everything runs very smoothly circa 60fps. Even over London it's smooth and enjoyable, no glitchyness or stutters or anything like that. My heart goes out to others who have been having a bad time of it, only hope their experience gets to the level of mine.

Still a few annoying bugs though, such keyboard failing to function correctly, pixelated rear view mirror (when there is one) etc. Having witnessed UBI's approach to releases and patches such the debacle of Silent Hunter 5, my only real fear is UBI will pull the plug on patch development before IL2 Cod reaches the lofty heights of IL2 1946. Oh well, we shall see...
