Sorry for double post, but I found a bunch of screens and wanted to put them in a separate post.

I think this is just to compete with the HAWX Title, which in the first place, isn't all that great in my opinion. And why is it suddenly Ace Combat is in our world? I thought they had fake nations, with just real world and some made up jets? But in the trailer, it has some pilot or someone mentioning Miami.

It looks like helicopter action is featured. Apache and possibly Black Hawks. Wonder if they are controllable or these are cut scenes.

Not sure about that first screen shot. It looks uncomfortably close to the second World Trade Center attack to me

Edit: the shots also look like a roll call of film influences. Shot 4 is an exact replica of one of the shots in Stealth. Seventh looks like Black Hawk Down and the Appache hovering over the street explosion is Blue Thunder (minus the chickens)

All good though. This game just went to must have

I agree Soviet. It really doesn't seem like an Ace Combat game. More like a collection of mini games of the type you get in the Modern Warfare series. Also disappointing its lost its Ace Combat Universe, it was one of the good things that allowed total flexibility and Craziness in the story (any country could war against each other using whatever planes they damn well wanted). Were as in this you'll be stuck flying US planes against Su's and MiG's in the same old scenario that has been done again and again in other series.

Just downloaded HAWX 2 demo... Meh.

I think Mr Clancy should stick to sneaking up on people from behind whilst wearing night vision goggles and stopping terrorists.. Hang on, that's pretty much what I've just done in the demo.. Damn you Tom Clancy!

They've even managed to make Air to Air re-fueling boring.

Shadowcorp 08-22-2010 12:49 PM

agreed hawx 2 demo was quite boring, it didn't feel much different from the first game another lame title from our friends at ubisoft (this is my opinion and not the opinion of 1c company)

No, no no. After The Unsung War, this will just be another bad sequel. They can make it look good all they want but after the PS2, I wouldn't get it. No skill required at all. Avoid this game and better yet the developer.
