Still great pictures though

Hi all
Loving the pictures old and new, cant wait to get back into clod. Still waiting for Win 7 to arrive on doorstep. Can play on Xp but grafix are crap atm. C,mon Amazon! Think clod will fly on my new set up. Rise of flight is awsome with sliders to the max,and thats with XP. Fingers crossed:rolleyes: |
S!
Von C, you will love Windows 7. XP is a relic already. It was a good OS for it's time and in some matters still is. No remorse going to W7 from XP. |

I have tried win 7 on my sisters pc its quite easier to use. Just thought that clod is probably more optimised for the newer OS. Now i have a 64 bit system CPU thoght i could use it way better with 64 OS. Anyways thanks m8 for the heads up on it. |
S!
No problem :) Win7 is great. I still turned off Aero and stuff by setting performance to Best Performance under effects/visuals. Looks like XP then ;) Nice pics of SE5 and that Sopwith :) |

Took me to steam, however i havent followed there instructions yet(of deleting most of there files) as clod seems to be stable at this time. I have followed instructions on video settings,(x2 AA,and shader quality high as opposed to top setting)And on my Machine seems OK atm:grin: |
I meant (launcher has stopped working on Cliffs of dover)
|
Files fixed Clod ...Hurrah!

It means you have to launch steam before you start Clod. However it seems to have done the trick and have played Clod for over 3 hours ,watched replays, with no crashes(touch wood). So if anyone is experiencing launcher errors. I typed in "Launcher stopped working on Cliffs of Dover) in google and I looked at Steam forum where i found details of which files to remove. All seems hunky dory now. hope that may help others too. BTW i am also running Clod at full maximum settings except for AA at x2.:-P |

I was thinking of doing something similar wth "commando" comic covers - hard to get the planes that close though. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...dSetters01.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...dSetters02.jpg . |

With gimp\Photoshop copy and paste Planes into a sceen and position how you want rather than trying to get Planes close to each other In the game. Regards Keith;) |

Thanks Phillip,I'm using his own set,(injFX_Settings Les.zip),if you go into that thread http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthr...32255,it's the 5th reply, hope this helps;)......they do really transform the colours to what I think is a more realistic look,IMO anyway.

I've been using my own set for about a month now.
Here's my settings: /*------------------------------------------------------------------------------ TONEMAP ------------------------------------------------------------------------------*/ #define Gamma 1.15 #define Exposure 0.001 #define Saturation 0.5 // use negative values for less saturation. #define BlueShift 0.01 // Higher = more blue in image. #define Bleach 0.00 // Bleach bypass, higher = stronger effect #define Defog 0.055 // Strength of Lens Colors. #define FogColor float4(-0.20, -0.00, -0.00, 10.0) //Lens-style color filters for Blue, Red, Yellow, White. I will try Les's and see if there is improvement. |

With last Steam-Patch?
|
First2 are Aug (1.07?)
last is 1.05 |
Bolox- I know back in 1940 it did,but most combats in stock missions & campaigns are fought way lower than this. Not sure why-perhaps it takes longer in real time to get there,or perhaps the FM's for aircraft don't perform well enough at correct altitudes? It says alot that I have been playing this sim since day one & I have never been high enough to see contrails before ( but do welcome them, because they add another level of beauty & immersion.) I saw these in a single mission titled 'Big Raid" ...my Hurricane had an impossible task of trying to reach these 110's ,so I decided to go for the do-17's below me.Of course the 110's had no trouble at all dropping on me & my mates like a ton of bricks!
Flaws , warts & all I love this sim! |
