Disengagement rule is now optional because it may not always be the most convenient option for the wingmanless pilot, for example if you are on your enemy's six and he is after your wingman and he gets to shoot down your wingman but you now have a clear shot to avenge your partner, the disengagement rule will not allow this and it may create frustration and conflict, that is what I believe. So if we make this optional then the player will have to decide if continues the chase to avenge or disengages and regroups before his target's wingman comes to assist. The signal for wanting to disengage after your wingman is down will be to lower your landing gear and wiggle your wings, if attacked while in this situation please report

Doesn't this make things much more complicated? I'm against of this whole disengagement rule, but if it is included then it is on and that's it.

To me it's even ok no disengagement at all. As on a real dogfighting. For example If your teammate has been shot down you can always choose to head for recovery or keep fighting 'til he rejoin after respawnig. For sure we better take a decision asap.

Why complicated? As soon as your wingman is shot down you either continue fighting or immediately lower your landing gear, wiggle your wings, and fly towards your Base to regroup with your partner. Obviously, you cant use this to escape every time you feel threatened. Its just for that, and every, immediate moment after you loose your partner.

So: If you decide to avenge your downed wingman and go against 2 enemy planes and you are able to shoot down one of theirs, then, the wingman of your downed victim is now able to decide if he wants to continue fighting 1v1 or disengage and regroup instead, (By this time, though, one of the previously downed planes will probably be near the dogfight zone and able to assist). You decide.

Try some practice matches before you play an official match to get familiar with the rules please
Start messaging your rivals to schedule your matches, you have 11 days but dont wait until the last days please

+1 I Agree.
In our match we played last night. U2711AZ chose to dodge and manuvere while Nineinchdaddy returned from spawning. I chose to run & disengage back to my spawn each time xtomisx spawned. As the planes are quite equal in speed you can quite easily retreat without being caught and without any cease fire rules, the chaser quickly realises he will be flying into a trap and suprise attack from the spawning enemy plane, and turns back. both tactics worked ok and almost the whole game we were all flying together.

Hey Bobby, if its ok with you (and Edal) Bucketmanroc would like to switch places with you in a trade Between "The Aaayyy? Team" and "The unknowns".

The Aaayyy? Team (Edal this needs the word team in the name, injoke on the A Team tv show, you see ;) ) Bobbysockser & EvangelusE

Devils Wing (formaly known as "The unknowns") Bucketmanroc & Sergius86d

The other team is called "TEAM KILLalot" as a certain pilot has a reputation for TKing

And "The No Names" should be called "The No Mics" lol

I apologise to you Edal for this is something we should have finalised earlier than this.

Calling the Nameless Ghost and the Few51;
May we use this forum to schedule our battles? It might be the best platform for a runway as we hardly run into each other on PSN anymore. Sadly enough. That goes for my wingcommander as well...

if it agreeable with Sergius and EvangelusE, I have no problems with it. I know Sergius flys more with bucket and is probably more familiar and comfortable with him. let me know...
