Quick question for everyone...I've been trying these DLLs out for a few weeks now and they are nearly flawless except for one thing. In the FMB when you activate the destruction feature none of the colored areas indicating the status of that block comes up...instead its just opaque.

Everyone else experiencing that or is it just me? I read through some other posts but didn't see that mentioned.

White area over map when destruction activated

I am having exactly the same problem Icefire - the whole map 'whites-out' when activating the destruction levels, though destruction seems to work ok during a ground attack mission?
I would be interested to know if the DLL's have caused this change, or is it a different set-up?

Definitely the DLLs. If I swap them in and out it goes between working as expected and not.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. That likely means that its a widespread issue. Whats your configuration?

I'm on a Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM, GeForce 8600GTS, Win Vista Home Premium.

I don't have that problem. One thing I have noticed, though I can't believe it relates to the DLL's, is that aircraft more frequently fail to attach themselves to take-off waypoints on airfields. If I play the same mission 4 or 5 times, by the fifth time the flight will start off on the field next to the runway.

It's a bit weird, tbh.

HOw????

OK I downloaded the new DLLs.

My System,

ASUS M2N-SLI nVidia nForce 560

4 gb Patriot 4.4.4.12 PC2-6400

XFX PVT94PYDE4 GeForce 9600 GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3.20 GHz 2000 MHz AM2 2 x 1MB

How or where do I begin to get the most perfect settings for IL2 from this setup???

Any help would be appreciated. Right now I am not home but will be posting my Conf.ini when I get there.

Is March 13 the latest patch?

Thanks

White area over map when destruction activated (2)

Hi IceFire,
My system specs are - Moboard Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4, RAM 4GB Corsair DDR2, Video card 8800 Ultra, CPU Intel QX6850 Quad core, Monitor 24" Benq GTG, 850 watt power supply.
As you can see I have a 'high-end rig' - the new DLL's seem to be going ok - the Slovakian map looks great, though I occasionally get 'white-flashes' when it is misty and cloudy and in the 'take-off dust'. I have been testing the DLL's and so far this latest one seems to be the most stable, apart from the 'white destruction area' which obviously is an issue.

System specs? ATI or nVidia? Might be key.

Well we both have nVidia 8 series cards so maybe that has something to do with it. I do agree that overall the new DLLs are superb in all other respects.
