Hi All

Please put at least some system specs when posting in this thread and keep it to only reporting as Luthier has asked you to in his OP

That’s what this beta patch is – a quick way to see if it does what it should without doing something it shouldn’t.

And the most important note. If you notice REDUCED performance, crashes, or any kind of other crippling issues, it is extremely important you post your system specs including your version of Windows. That's the only way we can troubleshoot your problem and make sure it disappears by tomorrow!

Any more rubbish off topic or arguing in here earns you a holiday from the forum.

No visible performance gain for me, though I did notice a few new bugs (or at least ones I didn't encounter over the last week)

-Planes have white edges at times and tend to flicker, texture seems to load only partially when it happens.
-Low over London my cockpit glass and recticule disappeared for a few seconds ,then ended up disappearing all together. also visible in 3rd-person mode.
-game hung up after trying to leave the debriefingscreen when exiting the "bomber intercept" quickmission.

Specs :
32bit XP
2.8GHZ Intel core2duo
ATI 4850
4GB DDR-2 ram

Patch installed, no issues at startup. On water with 6 Spitfires and 6 bf109 it is quite stable on 50-60 fps. Very rare little dropdowns to 37-38.

But the stutter is still there, althought it is very very fast paced and fine-biased now, giving a felling of overall smoothness

Going to the acid test now (Land, London, trees...)

q9550 2.8 ghz
gtx260 1732MB
4gb corsair
raptor WD hard drive 10k rpm
win 7 home premium 64 bit

Resolution: 19" at 1440x900

Tried free ride over London, 6 Spitfires. Average FPS is 35-39, but stutters like a beast. Still very fast baced tiny stutter, but it is continuous. Low Buildings, no trees, high models, high decals, high visualFX, the rest on medium.

System:
i5 750 @2.66
GTX460 1Gb
4 GB 1333Cl9
win7 x64
270.51
Still heavy stutters over london flying alone. FPS are slightly better.
GPU usage average was maybe 60-70%, maxing out at 93 one time in a several minutes flight, lowest value was 39% in this flight.
CPU1 usage around 70 - 80% average. Other cpus only sometimes kick in at very few times.

Hi!

For me, the biggest difference with the patch was the fixing of the mismatched physical model/visual model gunfire causing the guns to go everywhere :P Made the dogfights much more ammunition-economic :D

I must say I notice little to no improvement in FPS though. Perhaps a little bit when staring down into the instrument panel. This used to be quite laggy, not so much any more. Seems like micro stutters appear when closing in on a new 3D model LOD. Like when the game has to load 5 more detailed hurricanes as you approach them, I get microstutters.

Also when looking around fast at different angles at the ground. Seems like the engine is strained during loading of trees/buildings/Shadows and whatnot!

All in all, I have a very fluid game, but the microstutters and cockpit FPS drop when looking into the instrument panel are still there. Patch did NOT break anything for me. Nvidia drivers 270.51 :)

Specs are in my sig.

No Change

No performance changes here.

1920*1080 59Hz
Medium Settings with 2x AA
AVG: 22
MAX: 51
MIN: 3

Still not smooth to play. Stuttering and FPS drops if buildings, smoke and other planes appear.

My Specs:
Win7 64bit
C2D E8400
ATI 6970 2GB
8GB RAM

i5 2500K at 4.2G
6970 2G VRAM
8 Gig DDR3
Win7 64 Bit

Game ran far soother over London that before.. the buildings drawing was distracting, there was consistant pauses over the city on the deck. Before, it was a slide show, this was defintely better.

I then turned up my settings to Very High accross the board and flew the missions I've had more experience with. Very fluid, fps greater than 50 at 1920X1200. Slowed down a bit over Hawkinge, but was fluid and completely playable.

Unrelated to the patch I think, One thing I did notice was that when I used all my ammo and landed, all the flight belly landed on the field, may be a pre existing AI issue that I never noticed before.

Game looks AMAZING at high settings..

Please remember guys Posting system specs WITHOUT operating system details is next to useless for the devs. They need to know what the OS is as well as all the rest. Some are still missing this detail.
