If you read later updates they said they are working on the particle effects (smoke etc) as it is still causing stutters and they are trying to get to grips with that.

Dont expect a beta today because they probably exaggerated their progress maybe, not cos "there's somehing in the air"

But still... Blacksix usually comes here the day before saying that we should save our F5 keys for later tours of duty? Not today, he was here and closed the fake "Update" thread but no message that there will be no patch today...

So - I keep the patch dream alive even though the Friday vodkas are soon to be poured in Moscow now...
