Seriously ,your work here is very evident & as I said something like this should have been in the first release.I have gone with the "vanilla " JG2 camaign for the time being & enjoying it tremendously.I do not have a high end PC , but am experiencing no real problems out of the ordinary & am able to see all the details you'vepacked into the missions: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...5-23_00007.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...5-23_00001.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...5-23_00004.jpg I have one other question however & it isn't a problem in the campaign , but of my own making:it seems if I put my aircraft on autopilot either too soon or too late after take off , my plane will endlessly circle my own aerodrome & all the others continue to target without me...This means I either have to catch up (maually - off autopilot) or abandon the mission. This has happened in othe campaigns as well & I can't figure out what the solution must be.Can you help me out? |

Turned out that it was my toe brake assignments in the config. When I edited them, they were stuck at 50% and inverted. When I clicked on left brake and pressed the pedal, they reset to the correct levels, and the same for the right. That shouldn't of made any difference of course as the Hurricane doesn't have toe brakes, but removing the 'invert axis' and stepping on them in the configuration fixed my problem, and I've flown the mission a couple of times now without any problems... Edit: I flew the mission again later and the problem came back, but I found out that tapping the brakes key worked. |

This erring behaviour of the AI happened to me too, and there is nothing you can do about it, safe editing the missions and set the first waypoint action to 'follow'. Then you can use the autopilot. When I brought that matter up in the German Ubi forum, Desastersoft stated my approach to solve this problem has potential unknown side effects and therefore they wouldn't change it, because they would have to playtest all the missions again. |
Purchased & installed "Wick vs Dundas" yesterday. No issues whatsoever. Fired it up and flew the first Hurricane mission. Frame rates excellent even from detailed Northolt airfield. Airfields feel "alive" with vehicle traffic, buildings, other aircraft both static and aloft.
Intercepted lone He111. Will have to re-activate my Voice Activated Command (VAC) 3rd party software for wingman/flight commands -- too awkward to hunt 'n peck the menu while flying. Also have to remember to set gyrocompass on the ground before taking off -- it's so awkward doing it while flying! Was called away from PC at mid-mission, so had to abort. I was advised by the sim that my mates are laughing at me and declaring me to be "a disorientated pigeon" for failing to land my aircraft! Nice touch! LOL I'll see how frame rates hold up when encountering large formations further into this campaign. So far, it's playing very well! |
