One of the reasons as to why these threads are met with hostility is because there's been so many of them lately. True, he does deserve props for making the vid and having the guts to put it up here, and true, some of his points may have been spot on.

But it still lands on being a whine-post, and many, even those of us that has a level-headed approach to the game and it's flaws/upsides, are quite bloody tired of them.

Just as us whiners are sick of the fanbois posts saying the say thing over and over.

There are a good few on here who would insult and label this guy as the 'me, me, me' generation but let's not forget that the very ones who utter this are without doubt the incredibly close-minded baby boomer generation who have taken it all on a plate only to give nothing back. Such comments only succeed in highlighting your oblivious selfishness and greed; little do you realize that 70 EU is a massive investment for the (very few) young that wish to invest in this genre. Quite frankly, if €70 is such a massive investment, maybe flightsims isn't for them. Flightsimming is probably the single most expensive pasttime there is in terms of computer-games, as it usually entails above-average hardware and rather expensive controls and extras (joysticks, throttles, TrackIR etc). Maybe my statement will label me as a babyboomer, but then again, that's the reality of the game. High-fidelity simming has NEVER been something that's inexpensive.

If you bothered to look, there's quite a few of us that are quite realistic about how things are. I'd say that the rabid fanboys are a minority, yet a very vocal one. When you're walking in a forest, don't be suprised that the falling trees are the one you notice best due to the noise.

Now, I don't know about you, but I willingly paid for CLoD. And while I'll admit to expecting a playable product (which it is for me now, but was damn near unplayable at launch), in no way, shape or form did 1C or anyone steal the money from me, or unlawfully take it. So accusing them for theft when they merely sold a bad product is rather silly, don't you think? Then again, it's probably all semantics, anyway.

The point is that if you stick your head out here in the way that some have done through excessive whines, rants and threats, they will get their foreheads stamped. Just as those rabid fanboys will. Neither side is any better or worse than the other.

Very true. I still stick around here because it's right now still beyond my imagination that the il2 makers could really go through and shaft us like this, I'm still in denial. Really hope that I'm not wrong but so many have thrown their arms up and have just had enough recently.
