Yesterday I've tried to remove graphical post-effects from MoT missions, and I've got an unexpected result :)
It seems to me, that MoT missions without post-effects looks better!
Please see screenshots here:

and say me what do you think about it?

I agree! ;) I am confident, that the removal of post-effects will considerably improve missions of the MoT. forlik, if you remove these effects from missions, MoT will become more colorful

Thanks for your opinion.
AHO, hykao and others (especially who have MoT) what do you think?

Hmm...maybe without effects the spectacle is more colourful, but what about the feeling?! :?
I think without effects all the places are too light, chiefly the Novy Sonch Castle and the docks.

I can send you the detailed instructions how to disable post-effects in PGift (UBoat) mission. And you can see the difference by yourself ;) Can you work with hex-editor?

AHO 01-08-2009 08:52 AM

Well, I cannot say anything, because MoT is still not published in
Europe.

But I think, both look good, with and without the effects.
I would not disable them, because this is a specific characteristica
of the MoT game and it defines the whole athmosphere partially...

Thanks for your opinions, guys! As I see, the best solution is to make these post-effects switchable. But how?

Good question...
If it's possible, It would be very complicated I think...

Perhaps you can add it to shadvs file where the config is stored.
I do not know if its saved to config file. Must try it out...
