(And I agree on being lucky "if"...)

Thx Swiss, I must have missed that one.

Personally, I don't want to wait any longer. The sim looks already very convincing and ready.

You haven't predicted anything.

Predicting the release date... that might be cause for celebration.

Otherwise, any naysayer is as much a prognosticator as yourself.

The principal difference with you... most of them keep shut after they've said it once.

LOL

All I can tell you is that you are all in for a treat of unpublicized features that you can only imagine...

Santa came early to my house, sorry he couldn't make to yours.

CS. :)

 for sure.....

I wonder how many people played SOW during the week Igromic expo? Whats a month or two between friends?

Cheers and merry Christmas!

In software, it is very difficult to say when a final product can be released. However, it's very easy to look at the backlog of work remaining and estimate the number of weeks it could take to complete this work. Looking at this, you can say with absolute certainty that the product will not be released before that time has passed.

This planning information is never made public, but it would be revealing to know how many weeks are currently in the development team's backlog. 2? 6? 16? If we new that, we could say for sure that SoW will not be released or even out of validation before 4 months.

Somehow, that would be more gratifying to know than.... nothing!

It sure would. I wouldn't mind if it took 'til next christmas, but if it were that far away and we were being hidden from it (ie, told it was very close a while ago), I'll be very irritated.

On the list of things that are important in my life this is not anywhere close to the top. Therefore, by extension, this is not something that I'm going to get angry, upset or otherwise fed up about.

Now everyone go down to their favourite pub, sports bar, or establishment of choice and have a round. Ok?

Its because they are all keen to get started on:

- complaining about how the cows are the wrong color for 1940
- pointing out how the spark plugs on the spitfire have the wrong gap setting
- demanding 0.50 cal so they can complain about it being porked :D

none of these important exercises can commence until SoW is released :D

Personally I don't give a crap when it comes out. When it does, I'll just take it for what it is: A nice surprise.

If it don't come out for some reason, meh. I'll spend the money on something else. :)
